Quality Assurance Lead (Hybrid | AI-Driven Security Technology)

Location: Carlow (Hybrid)
Contract: 9-Month Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave Cover)

An innovative and fast-growing global technology company operating in the security and AI space is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join its R&D function on a fixed-term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead QA within a fast-paced Agile environment, delivering real-world, safety-critical software solutions with frequent release cycles.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will lead a small QA team, ensuring high-quality software delivery across manual and automated testing. You will play a key role in shaping QA strategy, driving continuous improvement, and supporting Agile best practices across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team

• Oversee test planning, execution, automation, and reporting

• Develop and implement QA processes and standards

• Drive test automation across unit, integration, system, and regression testing

• Manage workflows and reporting via Azure DevOps

• Coordinate sprint ceremonies and support Scrum maturity

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Development teams

• Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards at sprint completion

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 2+ years’ experience in a QA leadership role

• Strong people management and mentoring capability

• Experience with automated testing frameworks

• Proficiency with Azure DevOps

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Excellent organisational and project management skills
